NOW artwork

Here's the artwork I submitted for NOW, the 24 hour art challenge. The theme was PANIC. Some pretty great works were done in time, I was v impressed!

Plaything Gallery is joining forces with some of the Auckland’s best and brightest new stars in contemporary art, including Misery aka Tanja Thompson, Imogen Taylor and Henrietta Harris, to bring you NOW - their first annual 24 hour art challenge.

Can a truly strong work of art be made in 24 hours? In an age in which instant gratification is the norm, can we expect a work of art to be made in as little time as a day?

With over 15 artists, this challenge is to investigate the role of time in the creation of art.

Opening this Thursday 21 May, 6- 8pm.

I didn't make the show at Cassette but judging from the photos it looked like a success, and cheeseontoast.co.nz says they raised $5000 for charity- well done!

Bought a new sketchbook I don't need. Did this in the middle of the night a few days ago and in the morning realised I'd started it upside down and back-to-front. Maybe I'll make it my new 'thing'. I saw the Who last night, it was incredible.

When do humans who work full-time (like me right now!!1!) have time to

• Go to the supermarket

Is it a secret I don't know about or do they just sleep even less than I am right now.

Hello!
This is the cover and poster art for the Panther and the Zoo debut EP, 'Think about it not exploding'. I'll post the inside and back shortly, the art work is sort of an out-of-order narrative Graham Panther and I came up with. We are Hu-mans. Not Raptors. Hu-man.
In other news, my new website will be ready shortly, and will be a whole heap betterer. I just need more time. More time!

Hello! I don't have any pictures to post right now, buuut I am getting a new polished website together which will hopefully be up and running in about a month I'd say. I'm also working on a monthly poster for a Vice Magazine club night, have finished the artwork for the debut Panther and the Zoo EP, and have been doing a fair amount of drawing which I doubt I'll show anyone. The future seems to be full of ups and downs. Oh wait! I did a poster for the show below, didn't even mention that. Chaos, Thursday night, Cassette Num 9.
I feel like sighing all the time. Sigh.
